Our time in Washington came to an end. We flew back to Texas on the 29th and are excited for our meetings in the South. We are so grateful to all the churches who gave us the chance to present in Washington and those who took us on for support. It was a refreshing time to see God still working in Washington.
Our first meeting of the month was at Berean Baptist Church. They had an AMAZING mission apartment! When the Pastor told us about it, we simply had to see it ourselves. It indeed was an excellent experience. The following week, we had a meeting in Tenino where we got to catch up with some of our best friends from Heartland.
Early in our time here, we found out that there was a Preachers Conference in Tacoma the second week of January. We were thankful for the opportunity to network and were greatly refreshed by the preaching of Dr. Johnny Pope, Dr. David Gibbs, and Pr. Mike Ray. We also got to experience the Bible Museum of Faith Baptist Church, the host church. It was amazing to see so many original copies of old Bibles. We took part in a tour of the History of the Bible, and it was refreshing to hear a historical account of how we received our King James Bible along with excellent visuals right in front of us. If you are ever in Tacoma, Washington, go check it out!
We had a missions conference in Skagit Valley, Washington, at the end of that week. We had so much fun with the people of that church and felt very welcomed. The week after our conference we got sick! We tested negative for covid, so it was just a bad flu (praise the Lord!) Fortunately, we didn’t have a meeting scheduled during that time and were able to recover well. Then the time came to fly back to Texas. It is always a blessing to be back with our home church and refreshing to spend time with our friends here.
Our next three months are completely booked except for two Sundays! With many events like my sister-in-law’s wedding, and missions conferences in Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas, we will be running around the South quite a bit. Our only remaining Sundays available through April are the 27th of March and Easter Sunday. We are so grateful for those who have been filling our schedule and give all glory to God. We are undoubtedly busy, but we enjoy our ministry so much! There is no job I have ever had that has been as wonderful, blessed, rewarding, and enjoyable as this. Though we know there will be times of discouragement, we love seeing where God is taking us!
