We are beginning deputation!
We are incredibly excited as this time has been in process for over 8 years! We have been through college, and internships, and now the Lord has made it clear that we are going to serve alongside our family in Brazil.
For the past year, we have been parked in Fort Worth, Texas in a Fifth Wheel RV, working and preparing to go whenever and wherever the Lord calls us to go. Now the path is clear, the direction is sure, the means have come, and the phone calls have begun. Phone calls have proven to be a very slow business. Many churches have suffered throughout the pandemic, and many are unable to take on new missionaries at this time. What that means is that everyone needs to first, pray for your churches finances. Second, be a faithful tither and give extra by faith to support your missionaries. As your churches suffer, so unfortunately do your missionaries, both current and prospective. We praise the Lord for the meetings we already have scheduled! If your church is currently unable to take us on for support, we understand that the Lord has put you in that position and we will keep praying for your ministry.
As I have said, we are currently parked in Fort Worth, Texas, but our first official meeting is in South Oklahoma. These first two months (September and October) We will be in the North Texas and Oklahoma area for our first two meetings. We know that many church schedules are planned out months in advance, but if you find yourself needing a missionary meeting in the month of October 2021, our calendar is currently wide open. In November, we will be traveling to Washington State where we have a meeting scheduled in mid November. Why Washington you ask? A lot of our family lives in Washington, and it would be beneficial to have support in the area so that we can spend time with family during future furloughs. We plan to be in Washington November 2021 through the early months of 2022. We will be visiting different churches each week if we weren't able to contact them over the phone. At the beginning of March 2022, we have a missions conference in Oklahoma City. We will schedule more meetings in Oklahoma for the months following.
Obviously, our schedule is very wide open at this time, but we trust the Lord and his timing. We are grateful for the support from our sending church as we venture out on this new and exciting time. Please pray for us that our calendar will book up with meetings, and that we will raise the support that we need. If you are a pastor in the areas listed above, and haven't scheduled a meeting with us, please call or email us. We will be as flexible as we can and are willing to travel and work as best we can with your church's schedule. Even though we are centralizing around Washington, Oklahoma, and Texas, we are willing to make some extra trips to other states. For obvious financial reasons, we will schedule these meetings with discretion as to timing and distance.
May God bless you, and please continue to pray for us as we endeavor on the 28:19 mission.
